Émilie Richard-Froozan is an Iranian-American filmmaker from New York. She has directed numerous short films, music videos, commercials and a feature film. Her list includies the award winning experimental short, Rufur, and the music video for Hurray For The Riff Raff’s Know It’s Wrong (But That’s Alright) that won Offbeat Magazine Awards 2015 Best Music Video of The Year.

Her most recent music video work has been for Suki Waterhouse’s, Brutally, Valentine & Johanna starring Amand Lepore. James Supercave’s With You and Anna Rose’s Sucker Puncher among others. Her commercial work includes Teelings Whiskey, Aliv Cellular Network and Pop & Suki Brand.

Most recently she wrote and directed the narrative feature film, Buttercup Bill, which premiered at the Marfa Film Festival. The film has subsequently been released theatrically and digitally across the UK & Ireland by Trinity Films. Buttercup Bill was also released in the U.S. by Seed & Spark premiering at Cinefamily in Los Angeles & Tribeca Cinema in NYC.

She is currently in development on her second feature film with Smudge Films.
